Protyre, the successful retail arm of Micheldever Tyre Services, has gained the coveted Tyre Safe Tyre Retailer of the Year Award for the second year in a row. The UK’s largest retailer and wholesaler of tyres has again been recognised by TyreSafe for the company’s commitment to promoting tyre safety. The award was collected by Phil Pickering, Marketing Manager for Protyre, at the Tyresafe Awards ceremony on 28th November.
Protyre undertakes a variety of tyre safety campaigns across the UK, through its 63 retail centres, to promote good practice as well as educating motorists on the importance of tyre safety. The company also has taken the lead in the retail tyre trade by ensuring that badly worn or illegal tyres removed from vehicles at their centres, are put beyond use so they do not find their way back onto the market and sold as part worn tyres.
Micheldever Tyre Services was also instrumental in initiating and supporting TyreSafe with a tyre safety briefing session for MP’s and government departments at the House of Commons in early November.
