Recently installed MOT testing bay at SR Tyres in Tewkesbury is a huge success
Owner Liam Jordan purchased SR Tyres when he was 19 and has overcome several challenges to get the business to where it is today. The close relationship with Micheldever Tyre Services enables Liam and his team to receive customers tyres efficiently and on demand.
The introduction of the MOT testing bay has given another dimension to the services Liam and the team currently offer, and despite the positive business changes, Liam remains modest about his career journey.
Like most businesses Covid was a difficult time, however, with Liam’s forward thinking, he purchased a van and created a mobile tyre unit, continuing to provide excellent service by replacing and repairing tyres at customers’ homes.
Liam is no stranger to overcoming obstacles “I’ve made many mistakes since opening the business, but during the last four to five years I have learnt so much. I now have the confidence in what I do and how to improve the business.” Another area Liam is passionate about is employee progression, having recently promoted his tyre fitter to the manager of SR Tyres, Longhope.
And it doesn’t stop there, with Liam’s business mind and capabilities he has acquired a business opportunity outside of SR Tyres. Recently opening a coffee shop, ‘Steaming Mugs,’ in Tewkesbury Town Centre, creating jobs within the community as well as employing family and friends.
