Micheldever confirmed as UK supplier for Insa-Turbo

Insa-Turbo has named Micheldever the sole distributor for the UK, building on the long-standing relationship between the two companies.

Micheldever has distributed Insa-Turbo tyres for more than ten years and in 2016 saw the brand grow by more than 15%. Now the company is looking forward to future success with the Spanish off-road specialists.

Salvador Pérez Lucena, Commercial Director of Insa-Turbo, says: “We are very proud to be working with the largest 4x4 specialist in Europe. Our business relationship dates back more than 10 years now, and we have cooperated to launch new developments such as our new ECORACE line.”

Dave Dineen, 4x4 specialist for Micheldever, said: “We are over the moon to have UK exclusivity for Insa-Turbo as it is an amazing product, with a tyre to suit any 4x4 vehicle, and an environmentally friendly way to recycle tyres.

“What impresses me about Insa-Turbo is the way they approach product development. The company has its own team of scientists, who work very closely with us to develop new rubber compounds and patterns, allowing us to feedback information from dealers to make sure the new tyres are perfect for customers.

“Their quality control is superb, they only use grade 1 casings, which have no perforation or punctures, no suspension wear and they use X-rays to inspect all tyres before putting them through the manufacturing process. This means our customers can be confident that they are selling a quality product.

“I expect the demand for Insa-Turbo to be strong in 2017 as the tyres are perfect for off-road enthusiasts. And as the tyres are not governed by EU for noise restrictions they are able to produce a more aggressive range of off-road patterns.”

Insa Turbo currently produces several 4x4 patterns which are available from Micheldever. Insa Turbo also produces passenger car tyres (including winter tyres), van tyres and truck tyres (hot and cold), making it the largest manufacturer of retread tyres in Europe, with a total capacity of more than 500.000 units a year.
