Fleet Tyre Network appointed to new LeasePlan tyre provider panel

Posted on 2nd November 2015

Fleet Tyre Network has been appointed as one of the key tyre providers for LeasePlan. The fleet tyre specialist will join a new panel of suppliers providing service to LeasePlan’s 140,000-strong UK fleet.

The contract comes on the back of a move by LeasePlan to redefine its tyre supply service. The leasing company is pioneering a change in the way tyres are supplied to its fleet and will be working with a panel of providers instead of a single supplier to deliver an improved customer experience through improved flexibility and wider choice of fitters.

FTN’s approach of providing a unified supply route for independent tyre retailers has been identified by LeasePlan as providing strong customer focus and a real ‘can do’ attitude.

Neil Dixon, head of procurement and supplier management at LeasePlan UK, said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Fleet Tyre Network as part of LeasePlan’s new tyre fitment network for 2016 and beyond. Following a rigorous selection process, we appointed FTN as it demonstrated it has the scale, capability and great customer service ethos necessary to meet the tyre needs of our drivers, regardless of their location or vehicle type.

“LeasePlan is committed to delivering a high quality driver experience. We demand an innovative, customer-focussed approach to the management of our drivers’ vehicles, and it is vital that our suppliers share this ethos. We are confident that FTN and the rest of the panel will bring significant benefits to our customers and we look forward to working with them.”

Martin Towers, sales director of Fleet Tyre Network, commented: “Over the last few years, customer and vehicle requirements have evolved, and this new approach will meet these demands. Our ambition has always been to create an open tyre market, where customer service and free choice are made available to all without compromising quality, and we are delighted to be working an organisation that recognise and shares this belief.”
