The new Mercedes-Benz G-Class that premiered at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January, will be fitted with Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3WA and Euroall Season AS210A tyres, as Original Equipment.
To be selected as OE for this new luxury SUV, the Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3WA and the Euroall Season AS210A, had to pass the rigorous endurance test on the Mercedes-Benz proving grounds to be considered and they did so with confidence.
Aside from possessing the durability and long-life required for off road driving, the Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3WA is also an alternative for on-road driving. Excellent traction on loose surfaces and superb driving stability, the Wildpeak A/T AT3WA also boasts impressive quietness, even at high speeds.
The Euroall Season AS210A was developed for use all year round and is most suited to on-road driving. Its M+S label and snowflake symbol mean this tyre can also be used in snowy and icy conditions during the winter.
In comparison to its predecessor, the impressive Falken Euroall Season AS200, commended by Autobild Allrad testers with a “good” test grade (July 2016), the new Euroall Season AS210 boasts an 8% improvement in aquaplaning characteristics and 6% improvement in wet braking. When travelling, the multidirectional sipes align themselves to the direction of traction, enhancing force transmission and providing outstanding grip in all weathers, including the snow. Braking performance has been further improved, particularly on snowy roads thanks to these sipes.
“For us, the approval to fit the new G-Class with Falken as original equipment is a very special seal of quality and recognises that we constantly strive for high performance in both development and in production. Of course, we will continue to expand our collaboration with Mercedes-Benz.”
Christian Stolting, Key Account Manager for Falken Tyre Europe GmbH
“Being original equipment on the new G-Class gives our Falken brand an additional boost. Our tyres have already proven their performance in various off-road rallies. It doesn’t matter what terrain - we are already looking forward to seeing the new G-Class in action”
