New World Record at Thruxton with a little help from Team Protyre

In 2018, a world hypermiling record was set by Pierre Desjardins in Paris, in an Electric Renault Zoe. Hypermiling is basically taking steps to do as many miles as possible per tank of fuel – or in this case per battery charge. The world record was 351 miles on a single charge - 97 miles more than the max for that vehicle.
Mission Motorsport (a charity) aimed to beat this and bring the world record to the UK. Hendy supplied the vehicles…
Thruxton provided the setting…
And Team Protyre via Micheldever Station made sure they had the perfect geometry and wheel set up for the challenge. On 10th June 2021, at around 6.30am, they hit the world record, and then kept on going to 475 miles. A new world record and a brilliant achievement!
