We are delighted to announce that from May 1st Jon Cowles will take up the position of CEO of Micheldever Tyres Ltd. Duncan Wilkes will move to become Vice Chairman.
Having spent over 13 years with the company as Acquisitions Director, Finance Director and more recently as Chief Operating Officer, Jon Cowles is uniquely qualified to be our CEO. His experience gives him a comprehensive understanding of the company and our industry, he has been key to the development of our planning for the future and in particular our Plan for the next 5 years. Jon will continue and accelerate the success of MTS and Protyre and he has a deep commitment to our company, to our customers and to all of the people who work here.
Duncan Wilkes as Vice Chairman will remain involved in the Company but in a non-executive, rather than a day to day executive role. He will both support Jon and the board as we develop and adapt our strategy and also be involved in specific projects as needed from time to time.
Over the coming weeks both Jon Cowles and Duncan Wilkes and the rest of the board will continue to work on our key priority, which is to make sure we support all our customers and staff so we all come through the current situation as healthy individuals, with healthy families and a healthy companies. This change of roles will not affect that effort in any way.
