Falken secured eighth place in a recent brand survey, conducted by Auto Bild, in the ‘Sport Tyres’ and ‘Price-to-performance ratio’ categories.
Approximately 70,000 Auto Bild readers took part in the survey and were asked to rate suppliers on their brand image with 14.74% (10,318 respondents approx.) associating Falken with a sporty image.
This is not surprising considering the success of the Falken Motorsport team over the last 20 years in the highly-demanding Nürburgring, where they have claimed a number of impressive podium-finishes and top-ten places recently, including 3 rd place at one of the most challenging races in the world, the Nürburgring 24 hours, in 2015. Last year, 2018, was Falken Motorsport’s most successful season on record where they claimed seven podium finishes and two overall victories in the VLN Endurance Championship.
These races also provide the technical team the opportunity to work on tyre development by carring out tyre tests and recording extensive amounts of data that can be digested and improvements made ready for the next race.
One of the most popular and best-selling ultra-high-performance tyres, the FALKEN AZENSIS FK510, has benefitted from tyre testing and is now approved for speeds up to 300km/h. These tyres have received a great deal of praise from sporty motorists and many accolades from independent tyre tests, including the most recent Auto Bild summer tyre test where it took 3 rd place and was rated ‘Exemplary’.
According to this survey, 18.74% (approx. 13,118 readers) believe that good quality doesn't necessarily need to be reflected in higher prices, as the Falken brand is viewed by Auto Bild readers, with a positive price-to-performance ratio. This has also been confirmed in other independent tests by Gesellschaft für Technische Überwachung and Auto Club Europa.
The Falken AZENIS FK510 came out the test winner in the the 2018 summer tyre tests, delivering a very good price-to-performance ratio and scoring positively for high-quality and a fair price.
