This week sees the return of Road Safety Week, an important campaign from 'Brake' which highlights the dangers we all face on the roads.
While we can't be in control of other drivers' habits, driving skills or unfortunate incidents that can arise, we can control our own speeds and lessen the risk of harm to others.
With ever decreasing visibility, more leaves and debris on the roads, as well as increasingly icy conditions, this time of the year is often hazardous as nature provides a stern reminder of who's in charge.
If ever there was a time to be mindful of your speed, then this is it. Remember, that with the slippery conditions, breaking times decrease.
